| PRAYER
SHEET NEWS |
There are many of us who use the weekly prayer sheet,
(which comes out on Wednesdays, just before the group prayer meetings) to pray
through the needs of the church, our missionaries, the Spanish ministry, and
the jail ministry. The sheet is also posted on our church web site (with some
modifications to personal names). Some of our missionaries and others use this
list from the web site to pray for us.
We are
going to try to make it easier for those who want to add a request to the
prayer sheet to do so by sending the request by e-mail to a special address:
RockportPrayer@sbcglobal.net.
It might be a good idea to just put this in your address book.
Please
feel free to send your requests to this address. You can send them any time;
but, if you would like for them to be included on a particular Wednesday,
please submit them by Tuesday at 3 PM.
"Praying always with
all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching (in prayer) with all
perseverance and supplication for all saints." (EPH 6:18)
You may also access this email
address directly from the top of the Prayer List on the website. |
| AUGUST
JAIL MINSTRY PROJECT |
Sports Bras for Female Prisoners If you could pick
up at least one sports bra it would be very helpful. Of course, you can get
more if you'd like. If your last name begins with the letters A - D get a
size small bra Last name E-J Medium Last name K-Q Large Last name
R-T xLarge Last name U-Z xxLarge If you were to see a good sale or
clearance and want to get other sizes, that would be fine. Otherwise, I think
this will get them a good variety in sizes. Collection box located in the
Ladies' SS Class. (We dont want visitors to walk in the front door and
the first thing they see is sport's bras!) |

Matthew
28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And
behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." |

| If you have an email address, why not be a part of our
Rockport News Group. All you need to do is email Cindy

| ACTS
4 FUND |
| Each
Lord's Supper Sunday (last Sunday of the month), we will be taking a special
"Acts 4 Fund" collection. The purpose of this love offering is to be able to
provide for those in our congregation with special financial needs. |
| LET'S
SING....! |
Is
there a song you'd like us to sing? Maybe an old hymn or praise song you
haven't heard for a while but would love to see us include in our worship
service on a Sunday? Let us know. Give us the name of the song and hymn number
(if you have it) and place it in the offering plate or the "Pastor's Inbox" and
we'll see what we can do. (Let's Sing cards available on the
table in the foyer) |
| CD
AND CASETTE LENDING LIBRARY |
| "Get
into the Word and the Word into you!" To help you do that, we have a number of
great resources on The "Tape and CD lending table" (outside the pastor's office
door), including many new DVD's. Just sign them out by number, but be sure and
bring them back. Notice - Some resources have been checked out for a long time.
If you've borrowed any CD's or Cassettes in the last 6 months, please double
check to see if you still have them. And if you do, bring 'em back soon so
others can enjoy them |
| PRAYERFULLY
CONSIDER ROCKPORT'S BUDGET NEEDS |
| NURSERY
WORKERS ARE AVAILABLE |
We have nursery
workers who are willing and available to watch your children if need be. We
love all of our children, and want our families to be able to learn to worship
together, but if your child begins to make continuous noise, please consider
others in the congregation, in particular our visitors and be willing to take
your child to be watched for the remainder of the service. Thank You, Bro Bob
|
| PLEASE
NOTE |
The
Nursery is available during worship services for children up through age 3.
Only exception: Parents may bring their older children when it is their
turn to work in Nursery. Thank you for your cooperation |
