Learn more about Brad Tompkins

Brad’s introduction to Christ came as a child at the age of 9, this was the first time he realized he was a sinner in need of salvation.  His parents were both Christians, both gifted in music, and as a young man Brad spent time with his family traveling to different General Baptist churches in Missouri.  His dad played guitar and sang along with Brad’s mom who sang and played piano and his older sister who sang.

A significant change in his walk with Christ occurred when he learned the meaning of the word Grace while attending Rockport and hearing Pastor Scott Lee preach about it often.  Eventually the meaning sunk in, and Brad was able to give legalism (which he grew up on) and his sin, to Christ in exchange for Grace.  What a wonderful trade!

Brad’s call to be a deacon was born out of loving God’s church and serving its people.  His hope is to build relationships that last for eternity and serve the flock as the Lord works through the entire deacon team.  Brad desires your prayers as he grows in this role and grows stronger as a believer.
