“The LORD has done great things for us.”
Psalm 126:3

This morning brings an end to our Annual Grace Bible Conference. And though I am writing this note before it actually begins, I am confident it has been an encouraging time. So what next? I imagine the first thing will be a need for rest. Though we have shortened the conference from the endurance test it was in the early years (as many will remember), I still tend to find myself pretty wrung out by Sunday afternoon. So when it’s over, go home and take a nap if you can. But then, step back and consider what the Lord has shown you this weekend about His love displayed in Christ for those who are His own through faith.

The love of Christ is a rich and precious heritage to the Christian. To know this love is our great pursuit in life according to Eph 4:19. It secures us in our faith, assures us of our future and reassures us in times of pain and suffering (see Rom 8:31-39). And it has been our privilege to consider this love from a number of different angles this weekend. It is my prayer that you will not let what you have heard slip from your mind too easily. Satan loves it when we do that and is always seeking to pluck away the seed of truth before it can produce any real fruit in our lives (Mark 4:15). So plan on taking some time this week to review what you have learned and pray that God will help you apply it to your soul for your eternal delight and good in Him.

I am grateful to each of our speakers who has come and led us in God’s Word – Don Currin, with his wife Cindy, Geoff Kirkland (Fri) and Jason Arens (Sat). And thank you as well to those who have served us this weekend in so many different capacities. Your service to us reflects Christ’s care, so thank you.

And now let’s prepare for Easter and the celebration of Christ’s resurrection! Because He lives, we have every reason for hope in this life and the life to come!

The Lord of Life and Love has risen! He has risen indeed! Hallelujah!
