“And He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists,
some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry,
to build up the body of Christ”
Ephesians 4:11-12
God has given the church throughout the world gifts of preaching and teaching to build up the body of Christ! Those gifts begin within the local church with pastors and teachers. But they are not limited to the local church. They include those called by God to go out as missionaries (an apostolic-type ministry), proclaimers, evangelists and Bible teachers that serve the global church in various capacities. This morning we are pleased to welcome Bro Jamie Haguewood and his wife Kami who serve with Reaching and Teaching International Ministries (rtim.org). RTIM exists to help the church make mature disciples, establish healthy churches, and train local leaders throughout the world. During this morning’s service, Jamie will share a little about the work of RTIM before he preaches God’s Word.
Jamie and Kami serve RTIM as Member Care Associates. Jamie has more than 30 years experience in both pastoral and missions ministry. He says his favorite country is Bolivia, South America where he took his first mission’s trip over 20 years ago. Since then he has also served in San Jose, Costa Rica and traveled extensively to other countries to teach God’s Word. Jamie and Kami have been married 28 years and have five children and 3 grandchildren. Jamie was also Kyle and Phoebe’s pastor when they attended church in Potosi, MO and so has had a large impact on Kyle’s faith and ministry.
